Vote for Kief

Now, as the winter gives away and spring has almost sprung, the time seems ripe to start doing gigs again. As a band consisting of grown ass men, we sometimes struggle to find the time to rehearse. A way to combat this, we have found, is to have a goal. In our case, this means deciding on a gig in the near future, since this makes rehearsal imperativ. However, this time we have chosen another way to put pressure on ourselves. We have entered a contest. I know, it seems silly and pubescent, but stay with it. If we win this contest, we not only get to play a cool gig, in the not so distant future, we also get free studio time and a printed copy of our work. Best Laid Plans

As you may have noticed, our new single, Best Laid Plans, is now awailable on Spotify, Wimp and Amazon. We are just waiting for iTunes, and apparently the money will start rolling in. Well, we sold 19 copies in May of our first single, Stations, so we all held on to our day jobs. Obviously we don’t do this to make money, we do it because we like to do it. Where other people enjoy sporting activities of some kind, we enjoy making and playing music.

Best Laid Plans - New single

That's right. We have just uploaded our brand new single Best Laid Plans on RecordUnion. In a few days it will be available on Spotify, Wimp, Amazon and iTunes. We would like to thank Silver Sound Studio for helping to produce the single, as they did with Stations, and we look forward to start work on our third instalment this fall. the second single from kief, is all but finished. all the elements have been laid down, and the big question now is how to arrange them. the name of the second single is best laid plans, and the song is an original piece written by kristian mehlum lie, and arranged by kief. in the meantime you can listen to stations on nrk urørt. enjoy.

so here it its, kief is out on iTunes, and we are all happy. obviously one song does not make for a whole night of fun, so we are planning another release in the near future. Song #2 has been written, and most of the elements recorded, but we are having difficulties deciding on how to put the whole thing together. anyway, we are going back to Silver Sound Studio on monday to try and push things forward. in the meantime, stay on these roads.
